Patrick has been playing the bagpipes since the age of ten. He was initially taught by his father and further developed his ability with a number of east coast pipers. His biggest influences include Gordon Webster, former pipe to Queen Elizabeth II, his wife Lezlie Webster, and Chuck Murdoch, long time piping judge and Pipe Major Emeritus of Manchester Pipe Band.
Patrick
has played with the six-time world champion Simon Fraser University
Pipe Band of Burnaby, BC. He played with the band while they won their 2008 and 2009 consecutive world championships. Patrick is also on the recently recorded CD: Affirmation,which was recorded live last August at the Royal Glasgow Concert Hall.
